Client:
St mary’s Ruaraka School
Project Title:
Holistic ICT and Administrative Transformation

Background

St Marys ruaraka school is an institution in Nairobi, Nairobi County, serving learners from early years to upper primary. With the rollout of Kenya’s Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC), the school faced the urgent need to integrate ICT across all learning areas. At the same time, the administration was grappling with challenges in transport management and communication with parents.

Challenges

Digital Integration in Learning Teachers were expected to integrate ICT in every CBC lesson, but the school had no devices or structured content to support this. Teachers were left struggling with traditional teaching methods, and learners were missing out on the interactive benefits of digital lessons. In addition traditional teaching methods limited interactive learning opportunities.

Our Intervention

Device Deployment

Supplied and deployed 48 tablets to be shared across classes, ensuring learners had access to digital tools for CBC integration.

Interactive Learning Tools:

Installed Klickit EduTouch interactive projectors in all 21 classrooms and the main computer lab, enabling teachers to deliver dynamic and interactive lessons.

Curriculum-Aligned Content

Installed Klickit CBC learning content on all tablets, giving learners access to interactive and structured lessons aligned to the national curriculum.

Teacher Training & Support

Conducted intensive training sessions to equip teachers with the technical and pedagogical skills needed to comfortably use the devices in class.

Impact

  • Teachers now integrate ICT seamlessly in every subject, making CBC delivery more engaging and effective.
  • Learners interact with digital lessons, increasing engagement and motivation.
  • Teachers confidently use interactive projectors to deliver multimedia content.
  • Mythware software has improved classroom discipline, enabled efficient sharing of resources, and ensured safe browsing by blocking unauthorized sites.
  • Students benefit from interactive, visually rich learning experiences.
